Aktivitas Antioksidan Caulerpa sp. Segar dan Rebus

Radikal bebas merupakan suatu molekul yang sangat reaktif dan tidak stabil, dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan protein, Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid (DNA), membran sel, serta memicu timbulnya penyakit degeneratif. Kerusakan-kerusakan tersebut dicegah dengan senyawa antioksidan alami maupun sintetik. Caulerpa sp. rumput laut hijau berpotensi sebagai sumber alami. umum diolah menjadi urap dalam keadaan segar rebus. Proses perebusan dikhawatirkan mengubah aktivitas antioksidannya, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai pada Metode ekstraksi digunakan adalah tunggal menggunakan pelarut metanol selama 1×24 jam. Pengujian metode DPPH. rebus memiliki rendemen ekstrak yaitu 8,88% 6,44%. Nilai IC50 452,37±8,29 mg/L 484,59±5,69 mg/L.
